OLG RELEASES NEW HORSE RACING ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY

Working in partnership with Ontario’s horse racing industry, OLG has prepared and released a new study that quantifies the economic impact and employment levels of the sector in Ontario. Data in the study describes the economic contributions of Ontario’s entire horse racing industry, across key economic performance indicators.

Racetracks, horsepeople, industry associations and the government were surveyed to gather data and the results of the study were independently verified against two reputable outside sources, StatsCan and Econometric Research Limited.

Alongside many other contributors, Ontario Racing is proud to be a member of the study’s steering committee.
