This chestnut colt was foaled on February 13, 2021 and is out of graded stakes winning mare Unspurned. Unspurned (Lemon Drop Kid) won the G3 Whimsical and was placed in the G3 Mazarine and G3 Hendrie.

She is a half-sister to Ontario Bred Cafe Society (Empire Maker). Cafe Society broke her maiden at first asking at two, and has a win and two runner-up finishes in four starts this year. She was a $475,000 purchase at the 2020 OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in training.
Nyquist is the third leading third-crop sire thus far in 2022, and second leading cumulative third-crop sire. His standout progeny include Vequist 2020 G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner, and Ontario Bred Grade 1 winner Gretzky the Great, the 2020 Sovereign Award winner for champion two-year-old.
