Toronto, April 25 – The April OBS Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale begins tomorrow with Hips 1-306 entering the sales ring, and eighteen Ontario Breds slated to pass through over the four day sale.
Among the Ontario Breds listed on day one, is Hip 77 who worked in 10.0 during the under tack show, the co-fastest time by an Ontario Bred. Bred by Jesse Korona, Hip 77 is out of Belatrix, who was brought to Ontario through the 2021 Mare Purchase Program.
Four other Ontario Breds worked in 10.0 during the under tack show, including Hip 392, a day two offering. The bay filly was bred Arika Everatt & Nancy Recio and is by Sharp Azteca. She is a half-sister to Ontario Bred Levon (Practical Joke) who sold for $750,000 at the 2021 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
Hip 536 Magic Slips, a Good Magic colt, is also a day two listing who worked in 10.0. His dam In the Slips has produced four winners from five starters, including stakes placed Moon Dash.
Rounding out the Ontario Breds who hit the 10.0 marker are Hips 934 and 1040, slated to sell on the final day of the sale.
Bred by WinStar Farm, Hip 934 is a half-sister to stakes winner Strega, who was also second in the 2022 Bison City, leg two of the Canadian Triple Tiara.
Hip 1040 was bred by Windways Farm, and is out of the stakes placed mare Summer Reading. The chestnut Flatter filly is a half-sister to Very Scary recently finished third in the G2 Royal Heroine at Santa Anita Park on April 1.

Hip 104 by Audible out of Blues Legend, a half-brother to stakes winner Giovanna Blues.
Hip 293 by Munnings out of Druidess, a half-sister to stakes winner and graded stakes placed Hemp Hemp Hurray.
Hip 1026 by Frac Daddy out of Stone Miss, whose second dam is Gold Strike the dam of 2022 Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike.
Hip 393 by Yoshida (JPN) out of the stakes winning Ontario Bred mare, and graded stakes place Galina Point.
